I like it when car companies go away from the norm and try something new. When a car company comes out with next generation of a vehicle, there is usually a small change from the previous generation to the next generation. However, for one car, there is a noticeable difference in design, and it is for the better. The best redesign in 2012 is...
Ford Fusion (Ford Mondeo in Europe)

Ford Fusion 2010-2012 |

Current Ford Fusion |
The previous Ford Fusion was nothing special. The design was just bland. It did not stand out at all. The current Ford Fusion is something else. The styling of the new Ford Fusion is stunning to say the least. The grill reminds me of an Aston Martin, which is not that surprising since Ford owned Aston Martin from 1995 to 2006. Ford still has a stake in Aston Martin even after selling Aston Martin to a consortium headed by David Richards. The new Fusion also has sleek body lines. The headlights and fog lights are integrated well in the front. This car is beautiful. The new Fusion attracts attention and turns heads, which is unusual for a domestic mid-size sedan. If there is one thing I would add to the new Fusion, it would be adding a 3.5L V6 that is available in the Ford Taurus, Ford Edge, and Ford Flex. Still, the new Ford Fusion is beautiful and is the best redesign in 2012.
If you agree with my choice or think that another car that came out in 2012 deserves this award, please let me know in the comments below.
